NASAR is a membership association comprised of thousands of dedicated paid and non-paid personnel - all active or interested in search & rescue, disaster aid, emergency medicine, and awareness education. It is a self-supporting, nonprofit association with the purpose of furthering the advancement of professional, literary and scientific knowledge and training in these fields. NASAR actively works toward the development of improved coordination and communications among federal, state, local, and volunteer groups. Their primary goal is to aid in the implementation of a total integrated emergency response, rescue, and recovery system.
The most comprehensive SAR training anyone has to offer is available from NASAR. When you successfully complete one of the official courses, you will receive a certificate of completion.
