• Ice House Teen - 2004
Boy, do we remember this one. On April 12, 2004, a SAR near Icehouse Road and Hwy 50 failed to locate a missing teenager. This teen male's brother dropped him off at Hwy. 50 and Ice House Road, but the kid never showed up at the family cabin on White Meadow Road.
Turned out, he was at a friend's place in Sacramento all along, watching us search on TV.
We made two separate efforts, including a march east from Ice House Road above the north side of Hwy. 50 in the rain. Command Post was at the wide spot on Ice House Road, just above Hwy. 50. Carol S., Cass D., Paul D., Cindy H., and a cast of thousands joined in the search.
